- Meadowmere, Queens
-
Meadowmere is a small neighborhood in the southeastern corner of the New York City borough of Queens. Along with adjacent Warnerville, the area is surrounded by Nassau County and comprises just four streets and six blocks, bordered on the west by Hook Creek and on the east by Rockaway Boulevard. A footbridge across Hook Creek joins Meadowmere with Meadowmere Park, a neighborhood in the village of Lawrence on Long Island.[1][2][3]
Beginning in 2007, the city began installing a sanitary sewer system in Meadowmere because some septic tanks had flooded into Jamaica Bay.[4]
The area is served by the 11422 postal code, which also covers the Queens neighborhood of Rosedale and parts of Kennedy Airport.
