Sindh Muslim Law College

The Sindh Muslim Government Law College (Urdu: سندھ مسلم گورنمنٹ لاء کالج) or S. M. Law College (Urdu: ایس ایم لاء کالج) is located on Dr. Ziauddin Ahmed Road, Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan. The college was established by its first Principal Mr. Hassanally A. Rahman, a leading Advocate of Sindh on the June 28 1947 and was affiliated to the University of Sindh. It started functioning at Sindh-Madrasa-tul-Islam. After the closure of "Shahani Law College", the College shifted to its present building in 1948 having now been affiliated with University of Karachi and University of London external programme.

The establishment of S. M. Law College attracted students from all over the country leading to the dissemination of legal education throughout Pakistan. With a team of dedicated teachers and eminent jurists such as Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, Mr. A.K. Brohi, Syed Sharifuddin Pirzada, Ghous Ali Shah Mr. Justice Inamullah, Mr. Justice Tufail Ali Abdul Rehman, Mr. Justice H.T. Raymond, Mr. Justice A.S. Farooqi, Mr. Justice Noorul Arfin, Prof. Manzoor Hussain, Mr. Samad Shaheen and Mr. N.M. Kotwal, Chief Justice Syed Sajjad Ali Shah, Chief Justice Ajmal Mian, Chief Justice Saeeduzzaman Siddiqui, Mr. Justice Fakhruddin G. Ebrahim, Mr. Justice Nasir Aslam Zahid, Mr. Justice Wajihuddin Ahmed, Mrs. Justice Majida Rizvi, Farogh Naseem and Mr. Justice Haziq-ul-Khairi, the college excelled in imparting legal education for more than 60 years.
