Thomas Dimitroff

Thomas Dimitroff is the current general manager for the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League. Before joining the Falcons in 2008, Dimitroff was with the New England Patriots for six years. He joined the Patriots in 2002 as a national scout and then was named director of college scouting a year later. In his tenure he scouted and drafted some players that were important parts for the New England Patriots' perfect regular season , including Vince Wilfork, Ellis Hobbs, Logan Mankins, Dan Koppen, Ty Warren, Asante Samuel and Lawrence Maroney.

Before joining the Patriots personnel department, Dimitroff worked nine seasons in the scouting departments of the Kansas City Chiefs, the Detroit Lions and the Cleveland Browns. He also worked in the Canadian Football League and the World League of American Football. He was named the Falcons' new general manager on January 13, 2008. As Falcons General Manger, Dimitroff directs all football aspects and working with new Atlanta coach Mike Smith. The main task that Dimitroff has is to help the franchise rebuilding.

From 1987-1989, Dimitroff attended the University of Guelph (Ontario, Canada) playing as a quarterback for the Gryphons football team. His father, Tom, was also a coach of the Gryphons at that time.
