Thomas Dimitroff is the current
general manager for theAtlanta Falcons of theNational Football League . Before joining the Falcons in 2008, Dimitroff was with theNew England Patriots for six years. He joined the Patriots in 2002 as a national scout and then was named director of college scouting a year later. In his tenure he scouted and drafted some players that were important parts for the New England Patriots' perfect regular season , includingVince Wilfork ,Ellis Hobbs ,Logan Mankins ,Dan Koppen ,Ty Warren ,Asante Samuel andLawrence Maroney .Before joining the Patriots personnel department, Dimitroff worked nine seasons in the scouting departments of the
Kansas City Chiefs , theDetroit Lions and theCleveland Browns . He also worked in theCanadian Football League and theWorld League of American Football . He was named the Falcons' newgeneral manager on January 13, 2008. As Falcons General Manger, Dimitroff directs all football aspects and working with new Atlanta coach Mike Smith. The main task that Dimitroff has is to help the franchise rebuilding.From 1987-1989, Dimitroff attended the
University of Guelph (Ontario ,Canada ) playing as aquarterback for the Gryphons football team. His father, Tom, was also a coach of the Gryphons at that time.References
