Bloodstock was an annual metal music festival held over two days in The Assembly Rooms, Derby, England. The event features big-name mainstream, underground and new bands split between two stages, as well as a 'Metal Market' offering general genre merchandise (such as T-Shirts and jewelry) and CDs. The festival is well known for showcasing international bands for the first time in the UK, and have debuted, amongst others, Blind Guardian and Nightwish. A separate spin off open-air festival called Bloodstock Open Air was launched in 2005 to complement the indoor version.

The festival usually takes place over the first weekend in September each year, but in 2006 the event was moved to the last weekend (29-30 September). Bloodstock attracts metal music fans of all ages and also has an enthusiastic attendance from members of several media organisations including national broadsheet newspaper, the Daily Telegraph.

Bloodstock also offers fans the opportunity to meet the bands at signing sessions and socialise at a number of bars within the Assembly Rooms complex. The festival organisers offer programmes and official T-Shirts for sale.
