The 1994 redistribution added Leederville and Mount Hawthorn (Labor 54.6%) from the abolished seat of Glendalough, and removed Coolbinia, Menora and parts of Mount Lawley, Inglewood and North Perth (Liberal 56.6%) to the seats of Maylands and Yokine. The net result was a 4.1% two-party-preferred increase to the Labor margin.
