Building and Construction Authority

The Building and Construction Authority (Abbreviation: BCA), is a statutory board under the Ministry of National Development of Singapore. It 'champions the development of an excellent built environment for Singapore', in which the built environment refers to buildings, structures and infrastructure in our surroundings that provide the setting for the community’s activities. Mission

The BCA's mission is 'we shape a safe, high quality, sustainable and friendly built environment'.

Vision

'Safety', 'Quality', 'Sustainability' and 'User-Friendliness' are four key areas where BCA has a deep influence on the built environment. Hence, its vision is to have "the best built environment for Singapore, our distinctive global city". Departments/Divisions

The BCA has seven divisions, namely the Building Engineering Division, Building Plan and Management Division, Special Functions Division, Business Development Division, Manpower Development Division, Technology Development Division and the Corporate Development Division.
