The nihongo|United Red Army|連合赤軍|"Rengō Sekigun" was a Japanese paramilitary group established on July 15, 1971. The group originally had 29 members, but 14 members had been killed by February 1972.

In 1971, they attacked a gun shop in Gunma prefecture and stole weapons.

They killed two members in 1971 and sank their bodies in Inba numa marsh, Chiba prefecture.

In early 1972, within the group there was a purge at their mountain base in Gunma prefecture. They had established some camps in the mountains and were training members for military purposes. In January and February 1972, 12 members were killed. Most of them died of exposure to the elements but some of them were intentionally injured with knives. United Red Army leaders did not directly admit that they murdered those people, but called it nihongo|"death by defeatism"|敗北死|"Haiboku shi". In mid-February 1972, some members were freed. Fearing that their presence had been noticed by the police, the remaining paramilitaries decided to abandon their mountain base and most members left the place.

During this escape there occurred the Asama-Sanso incident. Five members took over a building, holding a woman hostage for nine days. By the end of the siege they had shot and killed two policemen and a civilian.

The organization's leader Tsuneo Mori killed himself in prison. Other leading members Hiroko Nagata and Hiroshi Sakagushi were sentenced by death but are still alive in prisons.

It was related to Japanese Red Army but they were different groups.
