Vegreville—Wainwright is a federal electoral district in Alberta, Canada, that has been represented in the Canadian House of Commons since 2004.

History

This riding was created in 2003 from Lakeland, Elk Island and Crowfoot ridings. It now represents the counties of Lamont, Two Hills, Minburn, Strathcona, Beaver, Vermilion River, Flagstaff, the municipal districts of Vermilion River and Provost.

Member of Parliament

This riding has elected the following Member of Parliament:

#2004-present: Leon Benoit - Conservative - He previously represented Lakeland and Vegreville ridings.

Current Member of Parliament

Its Member of Parliament is Leon Benoit, a former economist and farmer. He was first elected to Parliament in the 1993 election. He represents the Conservative Party of Canada. In the last parliamentary session, he served as chair on the 'Standing Committee on Government Operations and Estimates'.
