"Madden NFL 2002" is an American Football video game. It features former Minnesota Vikings quarterback Daunte Culpepper on the cover. Pat Summerall and John Madden are the commentators.

Other features and miscellaneous

* Super Bowl XXXVI MVP Tom Brady is not listed in the roster versions for the PC, N64, PS, and PS2, but is listed in the roster for the GameCube and Xbox versions, which were released in November instead of August. He also appears in a later roster update for the PC version.
* In the N64 version Tony Siragusa is still listed with the Baltimore Ravens.
* The Houston Texans always begin season play after the player's first season in franchise mode.
* Tony Banks appears as the starting quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys. He was cut by the Cowboys in preseason and was, subsequently, picked up by the Washington Redskins.
* This is the last Madden to be released to the N64.
* The N64 version had an updated 16-bit version of Madden, complete with every team (including the Texans) and the rosters.
* There is a team that can be chosen in the Play Now option that is named "Team Ecko", with such player names as "Masta Ace"
