Casey Rose Wilson (born October 24, 1980 in Alexandria, Virginia) is an American actress, comedienne and screenwriter who joined the cast of "Saturday Night Live" as a featured performer in February 2008.

Career

Prior to joining "SNL", Wilson was a performer at Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre (UCBT) in Los Angeles and New York. At UCBT, her work included the long-running "Rode Hard and Put Away Wet" sketch comedy show, written and performed with her writing partner and best friend June Raphael. The show was also seen on HBO's US Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, Colorado. Casey can be seen as an actress in the upcoming "Bride Wars" and in Nora Ephron's "Julie and Julia."

Wilson was also in the Bob Odenkirk short subject "Derek & Simon: A Bee and a Cigarette" and had a small role in the Christopher Guest film "For Your Consideration".

Wilson joined the cast of "SNL" for the show's first new episode after the 2007–2008 Writers Guild of America strike; she was the first new cast member in two years.

In July 2008, Wilson commented that she and Raphael are writing a "low-budget, fun movie," in which they will star. Personal life

Wilson was born in Alexandria, Virginia, along with her brother Fletcher Todd, an engineer. She is a graduate of T. C. Williams High School, NYU Tisch School of the Arts and studied at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting. Her father, Paul O. Wilson, is a political consultant and runs campaigns for moderate Republicans.

Her late mother, Kathy Wilson, was chair of the National Women's Political Caucus, and attended her last Republican National Convention in 1980, while pregnant with Casey.
