Koltsovo Airport ( _ru. Аэропорт Кольцово) Airport codes|SVX|USSS is an international airport located 16km (10 mi) southeast of Yekaterinburg, Russia. The airport is a hub for Ural Airlines and Aviacon Zitotrans.

The airport was opened in 1928 as a military airbase and became a civilian airport on July 10, 1943. In October 1993 it acquired international status.

As of 2005, Koltsovo is the fifth largest airport in Russia and a member of Airports Council International (ACI). In 2006, it handled 1,764,948 passengers and 15,519 metric tonnes of cargo; in 2007, 2 345 097 passengers passed through the airport and it shows significant growth of 32,9% to the previous year. The airport has sixty aircraft stands and serves more than 50 destinations worldwide including a dozen in Europe.

New international terminal opened in December 2005, and the new domestic one - in October 2007 [http://www.koltsovo.ru/?a=000003&c=183] . New logistics center and a large cargo terminal are currently under construction. A third runway is expected to be constructed by 2009 which will let Koltsovo accept all types of heavy aircraft including Boeing 747 and A 380.
