Remi Moses

Remi Mark Moses (born November 14, 1960 in Miles Platting, Manchester [cite book | last = Matthews | first = Tony | title = The Who's Who of West Bromwich Albion | publisher = Breedon Books | date = 2005 | pages = p158–159 | isbn = 1-85983-474-4] ) was an English football player whose main position was as a defensive midfielder.

Remi was transferred from West Bromwich Albion in 1981 to Manchester United for £500,000. He made his United debut on 12 September 1981 against Swansea City. He scored his first goal for United in the same season, and in doing so became the first black player to score for the club. Moses was a key midfielder for United during the 1980s, but suffered a succession of serious injuries. He missed the FA Cup final triumphs of 1983 and 1985 due to injury, and played his last game for the club in 1988, retiring shortly afterwards.

In 2000 [Football Guardian] Remi was working buying and selling property in Alkrington, Greater Manchester, and in his spare time, coaching the Manchester Warriors U-20 inline skating side, which had just won the GB Inline Hockey League and 'every other trophy going.'
