Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Cambridge

The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences is part of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Cambridge. It comprises three departments: Politics, Social and Developmental Psychology, and Sociology. It also includes the Centre for Family Research.

The faculty is currently spread across two sites. The Social & Political Sciences Library and the Departments of Sociology and Social Psychology are on Free School Lane at the New Museums Site. The Department of Politics and the Centre for International Studies are at 17 Mill Lane.

Teaching

Tripos (BA/MA)

A Social and Political Sciences Tripos (commonly known as "SPS") has been running at Cambridge University, in some form, since 1970, being fully established under Anthony Giddens. For undergraduates, the course is initially multi-disciplinary, encompassing Politics, Psychology, Sociology and Social Anthropology. Postgraduate (MPhil/PhD)

The faculty teaches a number of masters programmes and contains students studying for doctorates.

Applications
