University of Adelaide School of Dentistry is one of the Schools in the Faculty of Health Sciences at of the
University of Adelaide .The School of Dentistry at the University of Adelaide has a long and distinguished history of innovation in its teaching and research. Its programs include the Bachelor of Dental Surgery and the Bachelor of Oral Health together with a range of postgraduate courses. The School also offers to the dental profession an interesting and challenging program of continuing education.
The teaching programs are highly regarded both nationally and internationally. With its intent to remain at the leading edge of best practice, the School is currently undertaking a major review of its undergraduate curricula.
Research
The School of Dentistry has a long and distinguished research history. It is home to the Australian Research Centre for Population Oral Health [http://www.arcpoh.adelaide.edu.au/] and the Colgate Clinical Dental Research Centre [http://www.health.adelaide.edu.au/dentistry/colgate/] , which is the most advanced dental research centre in the southern hemisphere.

Graduate Programs
The Faculty of Dentistry offers formal graduate programs leading to a Doctor of Clinical Dentistry degree (DClinDent) in the following areas:

*Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (Offered conjointly with a medical degree from the Faculty of Medicine)
*Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics
*Pedodontics
*Periodontics
*Prosthodontics
*Endodontics
*Special Needs Dentistry The Faculty also offers graduate programs in Forensic Odontology and Restorative dentistry.
The Faculty also currently runs a 2-year clinical bridging course for overseas trained dentists who would like an accredited qualification to practice in Australia.
