Ferroexpreso Pampeano

Ferroexpreso Pampeano S.A.(FEPSA) is a private company which, in August 1991, was awarded a concession, granted by the Argentine government, for the operation of freight services over a convert|5094|km|mi|0|lk=on|abbr=on RailGauge|5.5ft|al=off|lk=on broad gauge rail network comprising sections which, before nationalisation of the railways in 1948, were operated by the following foreign-owned companies:

Buenos Aires Great Southern Railway and Ferrocarril Rosario y Puerto Belgrano, a section that was run by the state-owned Ferrocarril General Roca after 1948.

Buenos Aires Western Railway, a section that was run by the state-owned Ferrocarril Domingo Faustino Sarmiento after 1948.

Central Argentine Railway, a section that was run by the state-owned Ferrocarril General Bartolomé Mitre after 1948.

Freight services commenced on 1 November 1991 over a rail network mainly within the provinces of Buenos Aires and La Pampa but with branches extending into neighbouring Cordoba, San Luis and Santa Fe provinces. The line between Rosario and Puerto Belgrano near Bahia Blanca is the most heavily-used branch.
