Wen Yang ( _zh. 温阳; born July 7 1988 in Shandong) [ [http://www.chessinchina.net/html/CHNrating05.8.htm 中国国际象棋运动员等级分数据库 ] ] is a Chinese chess Grandmaster.

In 2008, he became China's 23rd Grandmaster.

Career

He qualified for and competed in the Chess World Cup 2007 where he reached Round One, where he was defeated 0.5-1.5 by Zoltan Almasi. In this tournament he achieved a performance rating of 2498.

GM title

* 2006 World Junior Chess Championship in Yerevan, Armenia 3-16 October; score 8.0/12
* VI Asian Individual Chess Championship in Cebu, Philippines 19-29 September; score 7.5/11. The norm achieved with Rp of 2640 is considered a 20-game GM norm.

Total number of games: 32 (minimum 27).

IM title
