Seán McCarthy (born 1 January 1937) is a former Irish Fianna Fáil politician. A physician before entering politics, he was first elected to Dáil Éireann as a Fianna Fáil Teachta Dála (TD) for the Tipperary South constituency at the 1981 general election.[cite web]
