Kipling Collegiate Institute is a public high school in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is in the northwest part of the city, serving the Kipling and Dixon, and Richview areas. As one of only a few semestered high schools in the area that offers an academic program, Kipling attracts many students from outside the school boundary who prefer that format; mostly from the Humber Heights, Weston and Rexdale areas. Kipling's feeder schools are Dixon Grove, Kingsview Village, Parkfield, and Westway public schools. The school's daily announcements are presented through televisions, as a student-produced news show called "Switch On".

Kipling is a member of Peaceful Schools International [ [http://peacefulschoolsinternational.org/index.php?option=com_gallery2&Itemid=27&g2_itemId=1311 Peaceful Schools International - Kipling Collegiate Institute, Etobicoke, Ontario, Canada ] ] and has been featured in "Maclean's" magazine as one of "Canada's Top Ten Extraordinary High Schools", as well as the "Toronto Star", as a featured school for its unity and peace initiatives. It is also a certified Gold Level Eco-School. Situated near Toronto Pearson International Airport, the school is home to many immigrants and a diverse student population, with 54 different nationalities represented. Currently, there are about 200 students of Somalian origin, many of them refugees from the civil war.

After struggling with a 17% suspension rate (125 suspensions a year), issues of lack of respect, poor behaviour, bullying and harassment in 2004, principal Roger Dale had YOUCAN youth trainers train the majority of his students in peacebuilding modules. Roger Dale's efforts, combined with his philosophy of progressive discipline and restorative justice, has caused the suspension rate to fall. As a result, principal Roger Dale has been recognized as one of "Canada’s Outstanding Principals of the Year" by the Canadian Association of Principals and The Learning Partnership. Six years ago, only 30 to 40 parents came to parent-teacher interviews, and less than half the students passed the grade 10 literacy test. [ [http://www.fsatoronto.com/catalyst/catalystSpring2007/leasonslearned.html Catalyst, The magazine of the Family Service Association of Toronto: Lessons Learned] ] The school's failure rate has since dropped 40%, literacy scores have increased by 21% and parental and community involvement is at its highest in over 10 years. In recent years, Kipling's most successful teams have been the cricket teams. All have won many championships, and they are one of the more successful teams in the Greater Toronto Area. The school has a varsity outdoor cricket team, that competes against other schools across the TDSB, and Junior and Senior indoor cricket teams that compete in the local league exclusive to the former Etobicoke and York board areas. A girl's indoor cricket team was introduced for the first time in the TDSB in 2008. The volleyball teams have won several titles, and the floor hockey teams are among the best in the city. The school competes in the following sports:

*Cricket (girls and boys)
*Floor hockey (girls & boys)
*Indoor soccer (girls & boys)
*Soccer (girls & boys)
*Volleyball (girls junior, senior & boys junior, senior, as well as co-ed)
*Baseball (boys)
*Softball (girls)
*Tennis (co-ed, doubles)
*Ultimate (co-ed)
*Basketball (girls junior, senior & boys junior, senior)
