Tony Kuo

Tony E. Kuo is a Canadian politician in the province of British Columbia.

Kuo made national news in 2004 when he protested the appointment of Paul Martin confidant Bill Cunningham as the Liberal candidate in Burnaby—Douglas for that year's federal election. Kuo had been planning to run for the nomination in the riding and had signed up over 1000 new Liberal members in support of his candidacy. He was unable to run however due to the appointment of Cunningham.

On April 29, 2005, Kuo was named deputy leader of Democratic Reform British Columbia. DRBC is a new party created as a merger of several small parties and out of the ashes of the Progressive Democratic Alliance in early 2005. In the 2005 B.C. general election Kuo was the DRBC candidate in the riding of Burnaby-Willingdon. Kuo placed fourth in a field of six candidates with 947 votes (4.76% of the total valid votes).
