Inland temperate rainforest, British Columbia

The Inland Rainforest of North Central British Columbia, a temperate rainforest, is one of the most diverse, ancient ecosystems on the planet. The Inland Rainforest is part of the Interior Cedar Hemlock (ICH) zone in the Rocky Mountain Trench, and one of the richest parts of this wet belt lies 110 kilometres (70 miles) east of the city of Prince George and nearly a thousand kilometres (600 miles) east of the coastal rainforests.
