Center for the Expansion of Fundamental Rights
- Center for the Expansion of Fundamental Rights
The Center for the Expansion of Fundamental Rights (CEFR) is an American animal rights organization that seeks to expand the right of liberty and bodily integrity to non-human animals, particularly chimpanzees and bonobos, through litigation and public education.
The center was established in 1995 by Steven M. Wise of Harvard Law School, [ [http://literati.net/Wise/ "Steven M.
