Dalmar Abuzeid (born October 23, 1990) is a Canadian actor. He plays the character Danny Van Zandt on the Canadian series Degrassi: The Next Generation. He also plays a main role on the Teletoon series Majority Rules!. He has also guest starred as Jimmy Wilson on the TV show Wild Card with Joely Fisher and Chris Potter.

At a younger age, Abuzeid starred in various commercials; his most recent was advertising an Xbox game system and a game^[specify] for it. According to a recent interview^[specify], Abuzeid claims being one of the youngest on the show doesn't bother him and he has become close with several cast members. Abuzeid was born in Toronto, Ontario. He speaks French and is of Sudanese descent.^{[citation needed]}

Music

Abuzeid played bass in the band SoundSpeed, a six-piece music group that also included four other Degrassi cast members, Raymond Ablack (lead vocalist), Jamie Johnston (guitarist), Shane Kippel (drums) and Scott Paterson (keytar).^[1] They released a three-song EP in January 2010, and are currently not playing together as a band anymore.
