April Capone Almon

April Capone Almon is Mayor of the Town of East Haven, Connecticut.

She became mayor in November 2007 after defeating five term incumbent Mayor Joseph Maturo. She won by a narrow margin of 23 votes.

She is the town's first woman mayor. At the age of thirty-two, she is the youngest mayor in the town's history.

Prior to serving as mayor, Capone Almon was a member of the East Haven Town Council.
