The Copa Colombia 2008 is going to be the 2008 tournament of the Copa Colombia, it is going to be played between teams from First Division and teams from Second Division. It will start on march 12 2008. [cite web

The system of play is:The tournament system is formated for the first two teams to qualify to the next stage.Later, between the 12 qualify teams there is going to be direct matches. Six of them getting eliminated, while the remaining teams will look for direct advancement to next round and the best second of the eliminated teams will have the opportunity to play again.Later, there is going to be matches between the four remaining teams, in which two will qualify for the finals. The winner will have the opportunity to play in Copa Sudamericana

Teams from northeastern part of Colombia.

Group D

Teams from Bogotá and Villavicencio.

Group E

Teams from Pacific Region of Colombia.

Grupo F

Teams from Central-Western part of the country .

Knock-out Stages

Phase II

Phase II of Copa Colombia 2008 is to be played from August 27 the first leg, and second leg games will be played on September 3.

Phase III

Phase III games will be played home&away games format; starting in September 17 first leg games, and finishing in October 1 second leg games. The winner for the berth for the semifinals will be decided by the team who makes the most points, in case this does not happens it will be determinated by goal difference.

Semifinals

Semifinals will be played October 8 first leg games, November 5 second leg games.
*There would not be a deciding third place match for the commpetition.

Finals

The Finals will be played on November 12 and second leg on November 19
