Heraklas

Heraklas

Heraclas was a Greek physician of the 1st century A.D. whose descriptions of surgeons' knots is preserved in book 47 of the medical writings of Oribasius. He describes 18 types of knots. Accompanying illustrations were added by Renaissance copyists.
