Elvira of Toro, Infanta of Castile

Doña Elvira, Lady of Toro, Infanta of Castile (1038/1039 – November 15, 1101) was a Spanish princess.

Life

Elvira, Lady of Toro, was a daughter of Ferdinand I of Castile and wife Sancha of León. She made an important donation of lands to the Monastery of Ona in the era of 1087.

She married Sancho Fernández de Ovando and they were the parents of Fernando Joanes de Ovando, 1st Duke of Limia.
