TERA rifle

TERA rifle

The TERA Rifles (挺身落下傘小銃""Teishin Rakkasan syoujyu") were Japanese special rifles developed for paratroopers. They could be broken down into two parts and easily assembled/disassembled. There were three types:

* Type 100 based on the Type 99 Rifle.
* Type 2 based on the Type 99 Rifle.
* Type 1 was based on Type 44 Cavalry Rifle. It was not separated but folded. The Type 1 was not introduced, because its folding mechanism was not reliable enough.

Japanese paratroopers also used Bergmann sub-machine guns and Type 100 sub-machine guns.
