In the U.S. state of Nevada, U.S. Route 93 Alternate (Alt US 93) is an alternate route of U.S. Route 93 in the northeast part of the state. From Lages Junction to West Wendover, US 93 Alternate is part of the Lincoln Highway, the first road across America.
Route description
Alt US 93 begins at Lages Junction in northern White Pine County, where it separates from mainline US 93. The route continues northeast towards West Wendover, where it intersects Interstate 80. Compared to the main route, Alt US 93 provides a shorter link from east-central Nevada to the eastbound Interstate heading towards Salt Lake City, Utah.
In West Wendover, the route joins I-80. Alt US 93 runs west concurrently with I-80 to the town of Wells, where it ends at an interchange with US 93.
