The Roman Catholic Diocese of Valdivia (Latin: Valdivien(sis)) is a diocese located in the city of Valdivia in the Ecclesiastical province of Concepción in Chile.

History

  • June 14, 1910: Established as Mission “sui iuris” of Valdivia from the Diocese of San Carlos de Ancud
  • September 25, 1924: Promoted as Apostolic Administration of Valdivia
  • July 8, 1944: Promoted as Diocese of Valdivia
