List of chess grandmasters

This is a list of Grandmasters in chess. Grandmaster is a title awarded to world-class chess players by the sport's governing body FIDE. Apart from "World Champion", Grandmaster is the highest title a chess player can attain. Once achieved, the title is held for life.
