The Episcopal Diocese of Mississippi, created in 1850, is the diocese of the Episcopal Church in the United States of America with jurisdiction over Mississippi. It is in Province 4 and its cathedral, St. Andrew's Episcopal Cathedral, is in Jackson, as are the diocesan offices. Current bishop

The Rt. Rev. Duncan Montgomery Gray, III, is the ninth and current bishop of Mississippi and holds the post previously held by his father and grandfather before him. He has a master's in divinity and an honorary doctorate from in Sewanee, Tennessee. [Episcopal Clerical Directory, 2005, revised edition, New York: Church Publishing, p. 343.]
