Kenya Fluorspar Company

Kenya Fluorspar Company Ltd is a privately-held company owned by Charles Field-Marsham. It is located in western Kenya, in the Kerio Valley. This valley is known for significant fluorite deposits, which were first discovered in 1967.

Field-Marsham acquired the firm in 1996 as part of a governmental reform effort to privatize certain entities. Kenya Fluorspar Company is the only large-scale operation of its kind in Kenya and is a leader in foreign exchange earnings. The company is the leading employer in the area and provides a wide range of health, education and other facilities to its employees as well as the local community.Fact|date=May 2008
