  • In addition, three high school students are appointed as student board members. For the school year 2007-08, they are Charlotte Poplawski and Debra Chang. Past student board members have included three children (Jason, Justin and Jodi) of current board member Ginny Snider. Snider is also the PVPUSD representative on the Board of Trustees for the Southern California Regional Occupational Center (SoCalROC); on Thursday, December 7, 2006, she was elected Clerk of the SCROC Board.

Attendance areas

  • In 1999, an optional attendance boundary was agreed upon by the two school districts in which residents in Eastview could opt to either send their children to PVPUSD schools or LAUSD schools. Middle school-aged students in the area may attend Miraleste Intermediate School and high school-aged students attend both Palos Verdes Peninsula High School in Rolling Hills Estates and Palos Verdes High School in Palos Verdes Estates. The LAUSD school, Crestwood Elementary, serves a sizeable number of Eastview children. Many families live in the Eastview area in order for their children to attend Crestwood.

Schools

There are two high schools, Palos Verdes Peninsula High School (formerly called Rolling Hills High School) and Palos Verdes High School (the latter located just a half block from the Pacific Ocean).
