Skapiškis is a town in the Kupiškis district municipality, close to the road and railway Panevėžys-Daugpilis. The first church of the name Saint Hyacinth was built in 1519, and in the year 1752 the Dominican monks established a monastery, which was destroyed during the 19th century by soviets.
