Dunfermline Wanderers Cricket Club

Dunfermline Wanderers Cricket Club

Dunfermline Wanderers Cricket Club was formed in October 2005. The team plays opposition sides from Edinburgh, The Lothians, Stirlingshire and Fife on Saturdays in the competitive East of Scotland Cricket Association Division 6 (Season 2008) having been promoted as Champions from Division 7 in 2007 (playing home games at Townhill Park - when it didn't rain!). Matches are also played on Sundays in the Forth Cricket Union.

In its inaugural season, DWCC was promoted as runner-up, also winning the 'Fair Play' award having won most votes from other teams in Division 8.

The Club's colours are black and gold and the crest is a view of Dunfermline Abbey (burial place of King Robert the Bruce) seen from the south-east. Home games are played at Pitreavie Playing Fields, off Queensferry Road on the southside of Dunfermline.
