Papyrus (technology)

Papyrus is the generic name of the enterprise communication and business process platform and related components developed by ISIS Papyrus, a Swiss-based commercial enterprise software vendor. The Papyrus Platform is intended to consolidate fragmented business processes and applications like ECM, CRM, BPM, BR, BI etc. in an umbrella-like solution by integrating and managing the complete lifecycle for inbound and outbound business documents.

Papyrus Components

WebRepository
The repository holds the meta-data information of all business objects in a central location for easy change, deployment and maintenance. The meta-data model helps to overcome typical problems in conventional enterprise software with custom applications.

User-Trained Agent (UTA)
UTA is a patented enhancement of the Papyrus technology that uses transductive learning to enable Complex Event Processing (CEP).

Papyrus EYE
Graphical User Interface for PC and Flash that enhances the Papyrus WebPortal with Rich Internet Applications (RIA), completely defined through version-controlled components in the WebRepository without HTML/JavaScript or Ajax programming.

Activity Recorder (AR) and Natural Language Rule (NLR) Editor
Provides the non-technical business user with the ability to record and reuse GUI interaction scripts and business rules with interactive user guidance for syntax and variable names from the business context.

Papyrus Application Analyzer (APA)
Provides a system management facility for tuning distributed applications across many servers, with tracing for all running tasks and tools, as well as analysis of performance data to drill down to the business rule executed.

Papyrus WebArchive
Long-term and short-term archiving for any preferred media while fulfilling customer care and e-document delivery requirements.

Papyrus Designer Suite
Complete graphical development package for outgoing and incoming documents under Windows.

Papyrus DocEXEC
High-speed formatting engine for high volume batch and interactive ad-hoc document production under 12 platforms.

Papyrus Client
Word-like text editing and data entry functions. Integrated DocEXEC functionality performs online and user interactive document formatting and printing.

Papyrus WebControl
Controls all background processes that do not require user interaction. Typically all inbound and outbound processing is queued and managed from the WebControl interface.

Papyrus WebPortal/WebApplications
Allows user-interactive ad-hoc and on-demand business document generation and ensures enterprise-wide document standards.

Papyrus Capture
Imports incoming paper, fax and e-mail into the system by classification according to a sample document set or keywords. Text and data fields are extracted for further processing and archiving.

Papyrus Classify
A self-learning module for the classification of documents and subsequent sorting and automated distribution.

Papyrus FreeForm
Self-learning module for the recognition and extraction of unsorted and unstructured documents."'Papyrus Postprocessing/PrintPool"'
Documents of any data source can be bundled, sorted and merged into a single envelope. Storing documents in the PrintPool with document index information allows output management and distribution across different channels such a fax, e-mail, archive, Internet delivery and print.

Papyrus Server
High-fidelity conversion of AFP and PDF to the required output formats for printing, faxing, mailing, web delivery and archiving.

OverView AFP Designer
Application design platform for AFP printing and document applications.
