Hills Bank and Trust Company is a bank based in Hill, Iowa, U.S.A. with additional offices in Iowa City, Cedar Rapids and other communities in eastern Iowa. The bank was founded in 1904, and is a subsidiary of Hills Bancorporation, a holding company established on December 12, 1982. Seegmiller.

A former vice-president and controller of the bank, Steven Sueppel was indicted on charges of embezzling $559,040 from the bank and six counts of money laundering.He pleaded not guilty to embezzlement and money laundering on February 20, 2008 [cite web|url=http://www.gazetteonline.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080324/NEWS/273493273/1006/news|title=Ex-bank official pleads not guilty|work= Gazette|date=2008-03-24|accessdate=2008-03-24] , and is believed dead after his wife and children were found dead and a car he owned crashed. The bank's Hills office was the scene of bloodshed in December 1985 when a farmer, Dale Burr, 63 years old, shot and killed bank president John Hughes. Burr also killed Burr's wife and another farmer, and then killed himself.
