"Jutarnji list" (trans. "morning paper") is a daily newspaper in Croatia with a circulation of about 115,000 copies [http://www.waz-mediengruppe.de/Croatia.26.0.html?&L=1] .

It was launched in April 1998, being the first successful daily newspaper to appear after Croatian independence. It was named after a Zagreb daily that used to circulate before WW2.

It quickly took the lion's share of Croatian media market and became one of the most read newspapers in country.

The newspaper is part of Europapress Holding media group.

Today, "Jutarnji" is considered to be a more left leaning, liberal daily than "Večernji list".

On 19 February, 2005, "Jutarnji list" published an exhaustive biography of Ante Gotovina (a French translation of this investigation can be found in [http://www.balkans.eu.org/article5157.html] and [http://www.balkans.eu.org/article5147.html] titled "Courrier des Balkans".

In 2008 the paper was involved in an embarrassing scandal when it published a hoax interview [cite web |url=http://uk.reuters.com/article/oddlyEnoughNews/idUKL129396720080212 |publisher=Reuters |title=Croatian daily embarrassed by hoax PM interview|date=2008-02-12 |accessdate=2008-02-27 |] with the Croatian prime minister Ivo Sanader.
