Phoenix Metropolitan Opera

The Phoenix Metropolitan Opera is a professional opera company in Phoenix, Arizona and is an affiliate member of OPERA America. [ [http://www.operaamerica.org/about/membership/states/az.asp OPERA America — The National Service Organization for Opera ] ] The company was founded in 2006 by Artistic Director John Massaro and Creative Director Gail Dubinbaum. Massaro and Dubinbaum are married and have both had highly successful musical careers, working with such prestigious companies as the Metropolitan Opera among others. In 2008, the company will present two fully staged productions: Verdi's "Aida" and Puccini's "Tosca". The company performs all of their productions at the Orpheum Theatre (Phoenix).
