John Moors Cabot

John Moors Cabot (December 11, 1901February 24, 1981) was an American diplomat and United States Ambassador to five nations between 1954 and 1965. He served as Assistant Secretary of State for Latin American Affairs during the Eisenhower Administration.

Born in Boston, Massachusetts, USA, he was the son of industrialist Godfrey Lowell Cabot. He was educated at Buckingham Browne & Nichols, Harvard University and Oxford University. Following his retirement from the State Department, he taught at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University and at the Edmund A.
