Venetian People's Movement

Venetian People's Movement

The Venetian People's Movement ("Movimento Popolare Veneto", MPV) is a christian-democratic Italian political party based in Veneto.

Similarly to the Liberal Populars, it emerged in March 2008 by splinters of the Union of Christian and Centre Democrats (UDC) who wanted to continue the alliance with Forza Italia and to participate to the foundation of the regional People of Freedom party. MPV leader is Francesco Piccolo, regional deputy and UDC leader in Veneto at the time of the split.
