"Summertime" is a song by R&B/pop singer Beyoncé featuring rapper P. Diddy, released as the second and final single to promote the film "The Fighting Temptations" in 2003, in which Beyoncé plays the leading lady. The song is not featured in the film but is part of the official soundtrack. It first appeared as a B-side to Beyoncé's 2003 smash hit "Crazy in Love". The song basically talks about the romance between the film's two main characters (Cuba Gooding Jr. and Beyoncé Knowles)

As it was released just seven days after the third single from Beyoncé's "Dangerously in Love", "Me, Myself and I", the song garnered enough attention to peak at number thirty-five on the "Billboard" R&B chart. The song was part of the set list of Beyoncé's "Dangerously in Love World Tour".
