Port of Melbourne Corporation

The Port of Melbourne Corporation (PoMC) is a statutory body established by the Victorian Government on July 1, 2003 under the "Port Services Act 1995 (Victoria)" [ cite web|url=http://www.portofmelbourne.com/portcorp/legislation.asp|title=Governing legislation|publisher=Port of Melbourne Corporation ] to manage the Port of Melbourne, a port for containerised and general cargo located in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

They opperate several major man-made docks on the Yarra River and Port Melbourne, including (from upstream to downstream):
* Victoria Dock
* Appleton Dock
* South Wharves
* Swanson Dock
* Maribyrnong Berth
* Yarraville Wharves
* Holden Oil Dock
* Webb Dock
* Station Pier

The PoMC took over the former body responsible for the management of the port, "Melbourne Port Corporation", on June 30, 2003, and from November 3, 2003, the "Victorian Channels Authority", responsible fot the port waters and channels. The PoMC's major current project is the Port Phillip Channel Deepening Project, a dredging project.
