William Layton "Nasty" Roaf (born April 18, 1970 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas) is a former American football offensive tackle.

NFL career

Roaf started his career with the New Orleans Saints in 1993 after an outstanding career at Louisiana Tech, where he was a finalist for the Outland Trophy in his senior year for the best offensive lineman in college. He was acquired by the Kansas City Chiefs in a trade in March 2002 for a conditional draft choice. He was selected to eleven Pro Bowls since 1994, missing only the 2001 game, due to season-ending injury. He was also selected All-Pro 10 times.

Retirement

On July 28, 2006, Roaf told the "Kansas City Star" that he was retiring from football. General manager Carl Peterson said he was holding out hope that Roaf would reverse his decision, but Roaf said he was "solid" on retirementFact|date=August 2007. On May 21, 2008 Roaf was selected into the New Orleans Saints Hall of Fame.

In 2007, Roaf was elected to the Arkansas Sports Hall of Fame.
