Roaf started his career with the
New Orleans Saints in 1993 after an outstanding career atLouisiana Tech , where he was a finalist for theOutland Trophy in his senior year for the best offensive lineman in college. He was acquired by theKansas City Chiefs in a trade in March 2002 for a conditional draft choice. He was selected to elevenPro Bowl s since 1994, missing only the 2001 game, due to season-ending injury. He was also selected All-Pro 10 times.Retirement

July 28 ,2006 , Roaf told the "Kansas City Star " that he was retiring from football.
