Woodborough is a village in Nottinghamshire, England. It is located 11 miles south of Nottingham. According to the 2001 census it had a population of 1,852 [ [http://www.neighbourhood.statistics.gov.uk/dissemination/LeadTableView.do?a=3&b=798396&c=NG14+6DT&d=16&e=15&g=478768&i=1001x1003x1004&m=0&r=0&s=1207495841657&enc=1&dsFamilyId=779"Area: Woodborough CP (Parish)"] ] .The parish church of St Swithun is 13th century tower with a 14th century chancel. Woodborough was a framework-knitting village, and some two-storey cottages with ground-floor knitter's windows remain at the junction of High Street and Shelt Hill [Pevsner, Nikolaus. 1979.
