Lumbini Buddha University

Lumbini Buddha University was proposed to initiate as the center of Buddhism in 2005 during the occasion of world Buddhist conference in Nepal. This proposed university is deemed to locate at the plinth of the original birth-place of lord Buddha in Lumbini of Nepal's Tarai. This university aims to enlightening with the spiritual and cultural philosophy of Buddhism as well as to prosper with the creation and sustain the emblazon with the light of peace from inner soul to illuminate the entire world.

This university is in the preparation for the academic infrastructures from three year's courses of Diploma in Buddhism, to MA and Ph.D. level research to begin from the academic year of 2008 in Buddhism.
