The end of the TI-Raleigh team

At the end of the 1983 season, the TI-Raleigh team split up because of tension between former world champion Jan Raas and team leader Peter Post [cite book |title= Het geheim van Raleigh|last= Holthausen|first= Joop |year= 2005|publisher= Arbeiderspers|location=Amsterdam |isbn= 90 8096 76 37|pages= ] , with seven cyclists following Post to the new Panasonic team and six cyclists joining Raas on the Kwantum team [cite web
