John Gleeson (judge)

John Gleeson (b. 1953, Bronx, New York) is a federal judge for the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York. Judge Gleeson received a B.A. from Georgetown University in 1975 and a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1980. He was nominated to the court by President Bill Clinton on July 22, 1994, to a seat vacated by Jack B. Weinstein, confirmed by the Senate on September 28, 1994, and received his commission on September 29, 1994.
