Finnish football league system

Finnish football league system

The Finnish football league system is a series of interconnected leagues for club football in Finland. The three highest levels are managed by the Finnish FA while the lower leagues are managed by the regional departments of the FA.

The system

Below shows how the current system works. For each division, its English name, official name or sponsorship name and number of clubs is given. Each division promotes to the division(s) that lie directly above them and relegates to the division(s) that lie directly below them.

Cup competitions

Clubs at all levels are eligible for cup competitions.

*Suomen cup "(FA cup)"
*Liigacup "(League cup)"
