Kenneth Comninos Michael, AC (born 1938) is the 30th Governor of Western Australia, succeeding Lieutenant-General John Sanderson.

His vice-regal appointment was announced on June 6 2005 by the then Premier Geoff Gallop and he was sworn in at Government House, Perth on January 18 2006 by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Western Australia and Lieutenant-Governor, David Malcolm.

Previously, Dr Michael was Chancellor of the University of Western Australia. He was also chairman of the East Perth Redevelopment Authority, a member of the Economic Regulation Authority, and a former Commissioner of Main Roads WA. He studied at Imperial College London.

Dr Michael was awarded a Member of the Order of Australia in 1996, and elevated to a Companion in the Order of Australia in the 2006 Australia Day Honours. He was named Western Australian Citizen of the Year in 2001 and received the Centenary of Federation medal in 2003 for "service to the public, engineering and the Greek Community".

In 2006 Dr Michael was named the patron of the Fremantle Football Club, following in the footsteps of Lieutenant-General Sanderson who was also patron at Fremantle. He has been a member of the club since 1994 as an inaugural Quay Club member.
